Most memorable moment
This is a tough one to answer, as there were so many memorable moments!
One that really stands out for me was doing my first speech in professional practice, which was speaking about an object of choice. I felt like a nervous wreck. I spoke about a book and remember standing in front of the class shaking while holding the book and tripping over my words. It was tough, but I made it through that first speech. This moment was so key for my career today as it was the spring board for me to start improving my public speaking skills and gaining the confidence to speak in front of large audiences. Fast forward two years later and I am now doing numerous public speaking functions and workshops with great confidence and ease. It gets so much easier after that first awkward public speaking moment!
My absolute favourite class was Nutritional Symptomatology, although there were a number that were just as great for different reasons.
Symptomatology taught us the core skills we needed to take the vast amount of nutrition knowledge we learned at IHN and apply it to our clients in a logical, systematic approach. This class reaffirmed why I entered into the holistic nutrition field and I still use my course book to this day when working with clients.
Currently doing in the field of Holistic Nutrition
I am currently providing one-on-one nutrition consultations, personal training, corporate workshops and am a Joyous Health team member.
Discipline is simply remembering what you want.
