Most memorable moment at IHN
I was doing my cooking demonstration, making lettuce wraps, for Professional Skills Development with instructor Josephine Zappone. Everything was going quite well during my presentation… until I took out a tiny garlic grater and proceeded to julienne carrots with it. Safe to say I lost the attention of my audience for how ridiculous the whole thing looked. I didn’t really recover very well after that; everyone thought I was quite entertaining though!
Favourite class at IHN
I truly appreciated and enjoyed Susan Elliotson’s Herbal Medicine class, as I have always had a deep passion for botanical medicine and have seen great results with their proper use. I use herbs in my practice on a regular basis now.
I did quite a few co-op hours with Susan at her home in Caledon, stripping herbs, learning how to process and make my own tinctures and preserve herbs. I really enjoyed my time and learned a lot from her.
Currently doing in the field of Holistic Nutrition
I currently operate a private health consultation practice which involves an array of techniques and modalities from massage therapy to nutrition and lifestyle counselling, Iridology, bioenergetics and lab testing. Additionally, I use herbal remedies, homeopathy and supplements. I always seek to expand and include other techniques and modalities.
I motivate and empower individuals to attain optimal health by promoting clean eating and living, helping to manage stress and pain, and balance hormones. My clinical focus includes allergies and sensitivities, digestive and endocrine system imbalances, diabetes, chronic pain syndromes, cancer, and of course, cardiovascular conditions – which continues to be the number one killer around the globe.
In addition to my private practice, I attend several annual health fairs, tradeshows and engage in speaking arrangements to educate the public about my work and the field of holistic nutrition, Iridology and massage therapy. The more awareness we create, the more recognition we receive. When time permits, I share recipes on my website, publish articles on my blog and in local area magazines, like the Holistic Parent.
One of my long-term goals is to collaboratively develop and build a new integrative medicine centre for Kitchener-Waterloo. I am always open to discussing this goal with like-minded professionals.
Please keep in touch with me on my website, follow me on facebook or get in touch with me directly. I am always happy to build and expand my network of professionals.

The art of healing comes from nature, not the physician. Therefore the physician must start from nature, with an open mind. You do not heal people; only the body can do that. You are merely the hired hands to facilitate healing.Paracelsus | one of my massage therapy instructors
