Dr. Daniel Soubhi Sima’an BSc, ND.
Dr. Daniel Soubhi Sima’an is a Naturopathic Doctor and graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). In his four years of study as well as in private practice he has worked with patients of all kinds. Previous to his studies in Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Sima’an was enrolled in the St. George’s University Doctor of Medicine program and completed his Bachelors of Science with High Distinction at the University of Toronto in Integrative Biology, Psychology and a minor in French. Dr. Sima’an is currently in private practice in the GTA. Outside of the classroom Dr. Sima’an is also a member of Grace Chapel church, and Markham Cornell Toastmaster’s. Dr. Sima’an has a great passion for individualized and patient-centred care. His greatest desire when teaching is that each student leaves with a greater ability to communicate their wealth of information with their clients and within their community to be an advocate for an informed, holistic approach to health. Dr. Sima’an teaches Advanced Nutrition Research at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition’s Toronto and Mississauga Campuses.
NR006 Advanced Nutrition Research
Emphasis in this course will be given to statistical research techniques used by academics and practitioners in the field of nutrition. The course involves examining ethical considerations, appropriateness, reliability and validity of research designs. Students will be encouraged to critically analyze research literature in this field.
