Maysa Yousif MD (Iraq), CNP
Maysa Yousif is a Medical Doctor and a Certified Nutritional Practitioner. She received her bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery (MBChB) from Al-Mustansirya University in Baghdad, Iraq. She worked as a physician and an anesthetist for 15 years before coming to Canada and then proceeded to acquire her training in Holistic Nutrition as a first-class honors graduate from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Mississauga. Maysa’s medical expertise and holistic approach in helping nature take its course in health and healing allowed her to become a very balanced nutritional practitioner. Maysa loves passing on all of her knowledge to her students. Maysa teaches Nutritional Pathology at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition’ Mississauga Campus.
NP07 Nutritional Pathology
This course provides a thorough understanding in the study of the traits, causes and effects of disease, as seen in the structure and workings of the Human body. The course will focus on the several body systems, including the etiology of various disease states and effective recognition of the various nutritional factors involved with the disease process. Pathology and symptomatology of various conditions that will be covered include those that affect the digestive, gastrointestinal, respiratory, urinary, endocrine, reproductive, cardiovascular, musculo-skeletal, immune and nervous systems. Students will also learn proper terminology involved in identifying various disease conditions.
