Opened Tuesday September 7 & Closes Tuesday October 6, 2021
This program is exclusive to IHN—created by Lisa Pitel-Killah—for holistic nutrition professionals working in the field.
We are excited to announce another exclusive collaboration. This is the first of a series of programs that will focus on lab testing available to Holistic Nutritionists.
Holistic Nutritionists or alternative Natural Health professionals, from any schools or programs are welcome to join us! This is an in-depth course with on-going support and coaching, and unlimited access to replays of the LIVE lessons with extensive, PRE-RECORDED learning modules that are all part of the program’s offering.
This course, hosted by Lisa, is not available on any other platform, with any other school, as the HTMA labs and companies that partner with Lisa hold courses themselves and send their graduate practitioners to Vykon Supplements, her company, for treatment powers.
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis is used worldwide by clinicians, practitioners and scientists. In a single hair sample, the tissue is stable over time and provides several months of biochemical activity versus just a snapshot from blood work. Obtaining the sample is inexpensive and non-invasive, and can be completed without medical intervention. HTMA testing identifies so many potential issues in the body. Lisa refers to minerals as the foundation of the home that need to be kept in check in order to make sure “the house is strong and stable.” HTMA testing along with bloodwork from your client’s doctor as well as specific tests from other labs, suited to the needs of the individual, can give a clearer picture of where to start protocols.
Biochemical, physical, and emotional stressors deplete the body of essential nutrients. In stages and over time, chronic illness may develop. The HTMA lab test quantifies deficiencies or excesses in essential mineral levels, and identifies toxic heavy metals of concern. Not only that the report shows an individual’s unique metabolic status, stress levels, hormone levels, and blood sugar balance, as well as the functioning status of their adrenals, and thyroid. By addressing and beginning with mineral balance clinicians have the support they need for clients to erase debilitating symptoms and revitalize cellular metabolism.
As a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist Lisa shares that, “with regards to the testing recommendations, HTMA is always my first step along with the potential of bloodwork correlation. I believe that this should be included with any base test package because without proper mineral balance, which could identify the underlying root cause of many issues; attempting to correct other issues may fail. For example, if a woman has estrogen dominance and is not having success with attempting to support estrogen metabolism, the underlying cause could be copper build up.”
Testing is available through TEI (Trace Elements International) all over the world. They have exclusive labs that are placed in countries with access to their testing.
VIP Access to HTMA Virtual Summit running LIVE Nov 15-19, 2021 Includes: All presentations, presenter slides and recording access for life! Value $149.
Lessons Informed By Clinical Nutrition and Functional Medicine
We are launching our Fall 2021 Continuing Education (Con Ed) collaboration HTMA Level 1 Practitioner. We have been developing the program offerings with Lisa over the last year and are thrilled to partner with an incredible tester and analyst! We thought it fitting to begin with what we know is a key fundamental analysis that assesses the functionality of the body at the cellular level from an advanced practitioner’s body of knowledge. This welcome collaboration between The Institute of Holistic Nutrition and Lisa was born out of the successful HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) webinar held in January of 2021. The webinar was for holistic nutritionists working in the field to share clinical insights from her area of expertise in hair tissue mineral analysis and mineral balancing. HTMA Level 1 Practitioner runs LIVE, ONLINE with a PRE-RECORDED component that houses the evaluations, concurrently. The offer for the LIVE engagement with Lisa, is being considered to run twice a year.

Lisa got certified in Functional Diagnostics, which bridges the gap between clinical nutrition and functional medicine, through the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Institute in the US. She is a Mineral Analysis Expert, a multi-time Kettlebell Sport World Champion and a health, wellness and fitness advocate. Lisa discovered HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) testing back in 2016 and studied initially under Dr. Rick Malter, PhD, a pioneer of HTMA research in clinical practice for over 40 years. Lisa chose to specialize in mineral balance after this specific diagnostic test identified the true root cause of her chronic fatigue and estrogen dominance. Lisa works exclusively with HTMA, but is certified with access to a multitude of diagnostic tests. Lisa has helped 1000s dig to the root cause of health issues by focusing on mineral balance and a holistic approach. She most recently expanded her practice to include a focus on canine HTMA testing, changing the lives and lifespan of dogs!
Lisa is a long-standing member of the Association of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Professionals and is a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She is also the Founder of Vykon Supplements. Vykon (means performance in Slovak). Lisa wanted to simplify protocols for clients, and offer an immediate, affordable solution for mineral balance, containing everything needed after testing. Vykon Custom powders are the first ever, all-encompassing supplement completely based on HTMA science. Lisa co-hosts an annual week-long summit to provide excellence and authenticity by bringing some of the world’s experts in HTMA together. Her popular Human Optimization podcast runs on all podcast channels. She is a health, wellness and fitness advocate and believes that everyone should have access to natural health products and practices of their choice and her goal is to support the change of this in Canada. She is considered an expert in the field of mineral balance and holistic health.
There is a thriving collective of Certified Health Practitioners who are producing powerful programming for both the public, their peers and natural health practitioners, worldwide. We are delighted to continue alignments some of the industry’s leaders and proud to add to the advanced Con Ed courses with this collaboration. The material taught in this HTMA Practitioner program is rooted in clinical nutrition and functional medicine. Practitioners will gain in-depth clinical insight into the most common mineral patterns and learn how to use those, along with significant ratios, to identify the root causes of each client individually. Clinicians will learn mineral basics, interrelationships, significant ratios, Copper Toxicity, Calcium Shell pattern, how to assess iodine deficiency, standard and advanced protocols, heavy metal detox, and nutritional intelligence based on oxidation rates. Lisa’s landing page for this course outlines the full rationale behind the program, all of the support materials and the full body of knowledge you will earn from this masterclass.
