Erika Weissenborn B.Sc. FNH, CNP
Erika Weissenborn studied Food, Nutrition and Health earning a B.Sc. from UBC, and shortly after studied at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Vancouver. Rooted in her love of nutrition and food, she turned to studying entrepreneurship and business and in-turn built Fresh in your Fridge, providing personal cooking services to Vancouver clientele. She runs a team of holistic nutritionists, helping clients with weekly meal planning, cooking and grocery shopping. Erika also runs a private nutrition practice where she works with her clients on their habits and relationships pertaining to food, health and wellbeing.
Erika has been featured in the Georgia Straight, Vancity Buzz and Populist Media and was voted the #1 Nutritionist in the “Best of Vancouver” in 2016.
Erika teaches Professional Practice at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition’s Vancouver Campus.
PP 001 Professional Practice
This course is designed to provide the tools and skills necessary to succeed in professional practice. Practicing in health service, community, business and educational settings will be thoroughly covered. Topics include legal framework, marketing techniques, defining goals, consulting skills, time management, client relationships, building rapport, professionalism and a recap on effective communication skills.
