Loren Crawford BAS, RYT
Loren Crawford is a Certified Ayurveda Practitioner who passionately shares the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with students and clients. Loren was first introduced to Ayurveda when studying yoga in 2004. His journey to holistic healing includes becoming Certified as an Ayurvedic Practitioner after completing his first yoga Certification. As a student of life, Loren continues his studies of Ayurveda, yoga and tantra with Yogarupa Rod Stryker and Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, both of the Himalayan Tradition and Sri Vidya lineage. Loren completed the ParaYoga Master Training with Rod Stryker in 2010, the first to be certified in Canada. Loren’s yoga training program imbues teachers with a strong foundation in Ayurveda so that they can effectively weave the sister sciences of yoga and Ayurveda into their practices and teaching. Loren is known as a teacher’s teacher; he thrives in bringing out the best in others as they connect to their own Divine spark. Loren teaches Ayurveda: Mind/Body Healing at IHN’s Ottawa Campus.
AMB 02 Ayurveda: Mind/Body Healing
This course incorporates the philosophy of Holistic Nutrition with spiritual and psychological approaches towards attaining optimal health, through the connection and benefits of sound body and mind. This course will explain the principles and practical applications of Ayurveda, the oldest healing system in the world. Students will learn about the three forces – Vata, Pitta and Kapha, that combine in each being into a distinct constitution. Practical dietary and lifestyle recommendations for different constitutions will also be explored in real case studies.
