Samantha Van De Wal, BA (Hons.), BEd, MEd, CNP
Samantha is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner who graduated with first class honours from The Institute of Holistic Nutrition. She also holds both a bachelor of education and master of education degrees from the Schulich School of Education., and is also a certified teacher. Since graduating from IHN in May 2016, Samantha has worked alongside naturopathic doctors and other medical professionals in integrative clinical settings helping diverse populations, from children to elderly. She has found her passion in women’s health, where her aim is to help women solve their hormonal health issues to reclaim the life they’ve longed to live. She utilizes a whole foods, individualized approach, while incorporating herbs, supplementation, and lifestyle strategies to help women reach their goals. She also runs group programs that help individuals find connection and accountability in their community while practicing and mastering the fundamentals of health. Samantha has been featured on MindBodyGreen, D’Ao Labs, and Global News. She is proud to be teaching at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition where she hopes to inspire students just as she once was—and continues to be—by this incredible profession and ever-growing field! Samantha teaches Nutrition through the Lifespan at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition’s North York and Mississauga campuses.
NLS 010 Nutrition through the Life Span
Nutrient needs and nutritional status are explored using a life span model. Areas of emphasis include growth and development, high risk pediatric groups, infant childhood allergies and diseases. Womens’ and Mens’ health concerns and the nutrition challenges faced by our aging society will also be examined.
