MOON LODGE CEREMONY — THE DELIVERANCE OF AN ANCIENT INDIGENOUS PRACTICE & A RITE OF PASSAGE TO RECLAIM YOUR POWER
Presenter: CicaWa Wolf Woman, Tina Wilson CNP
The Moon Lodge Ceremony will be presented at the North York campus.
This Ceremony is a Rite of Passage our Ancestors honoured each woman with upon the gift of her moon time. A Rite of Passage is an honorary happening as it marks a pivotal point in one’s life recognizable within all bodies (physical, spiritual, and mental). The sacredness of our moon time has been forgotten and, as the WHOLE awakens, we are beginning to re-member the gifts that have been bestowed upon us as women. We have dishonoured the cyclical flow of our bodies and, thus, have accepted labels such as “PMS”. Our moon time and conception phase are far more magical than we know to appreciate!
About the Morning:
During this Ceremony we will discuss the practices of our Grandmothers during moon time and how this honoured Rite of Passage supported the vitality of each woman. We will focus on the health (mental, spiritual and physical) of our womb and passageway to this World. With teachings on; holistic medicines to support the healing process of cervical dysplasia, hormonal imbalances and their connection to brain dysfunction, womb awakening and releasing traumas within the physical energy centers. This ceremony will mark a new beginning for those who have already passed many moon times by going into the past where one will complete their Rite of Passage.
This will truly be magical, powerful, empowering and healing by igniting a light within that has been yearning to be turned on! The ceremony date will be within the umbrella of the Full Moon. The full moon is our conception phase during our womb cycle, a time to sow. This is a blessing!
What to expect:
• Each womb-an will be smudged before entering the Sacred Circle
• Once comfortably seated we will light a candle in honour of the Sacred Fire and begin ceremony
• The ceremony will consist of teachings and healings
• Once ceremony closes we will have an open discussion and one and one time with the facilitator (optional)
All that is needed is oneself open and ready to receive, a mat, comfortable attire (as we will be seated in Sacred Circle) and something to drink. Also please feel free to bring whatever calls to you to keep within your Sacred Space.
You are encouraged to bring anything you’d like to snack on at a point where a short break or two will be offered.
If you are able to, please learn more and support your knowledge coming into the ceremony by reading “The Thirteen Original Clan Mothers: Your Sacred Path to Discovering the Gifts, Talents and Abilities of the Feminin” by Jamie Sams.
* Open to all women of menstrual age and those who have entered their wise years (menopausal phase)
About the Presenter
Tina Wilson is a 2013 North York campus graduate, currently living in the Ottawa area. Tina began her journey to wholeness after the birth of her second son. Acknowledging the power of CHOICE, she left her corporate sales job of 10 years to embark on the journey within. This journey began with her physical body as this body is our connection to our tangible surroundings, to the people we love and the perceptions we hold. In support of her physical body she acquired certification as a Strength Training Specialist and Orthomolecular Health Care Practitioner. It was not long after that she was enlightened by the power of her mental and spiritual body and was guided to return to her Anishnabe roots where she was given the name CicaWa Wolf Woman and continued her journey to become the Medicine Woman she is today. Her passion to teach, share and learn allows the teachings of the Ancestors to be re-membered in the hearts of ALL. Tina is combining traditional Native Indian teachings with the NOW, to support the prophecies (Rainbow, 8 Fire, Hopi) which speak of ONE NATION. Tina is a Warrior of Light, here as a vessel for Spirit, to serve as a Lighthouse for others. She facilitates ceremonies, gatherings, drumming circles, and traditional Inipis that prove self altering as she facilitates the journey within thy self to unveil one’s TRUTH. To honor thyself is to practice RESPECT, HONESTY, HUMILITY, BRAVERY, LOVE, and WISDOM. And to KNOW these is to then KNOW TRUTH – 7 Grandfather Teachings.
