Arlene Resnick CNP

Arlene earned her designation as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto, where she graduated with First Class Honours.  She is the Founder of Fun Food Fitness In School, a company that works with elementary schools, providing children with interactive, educational workshops related to Nutrition and Fitness.  Arlene’s goal is to create and develop in children a healthy and positive relationship with food and fitness that will last a lifetime.

Arlene studied Business Economics at York University and worked for several years in recruiting and training for two of Canada’s leading financial institutions before deciding to combine her entrepreneurial spirit with her passion for health and wellness.  In the years that followed she owned a luxury downtown Toronto spa, worked with a leading natural skin care company, became a Group Fitness and Indoor Cycle Instructor, and continues to teach adult fitness classes for the City of Richmond Hill.

Arlene’s dedication and commitment to helping others achieve their highest levels of health reached new heights at IHN.  She gained substantial experience at a Wellness Centre, conducting nutrition, health and physical assessments for clients while developing detailed dietary, lifestyle and supplement protocol strategies. An avid runner and charitable supporter, Arlene has completed two half marathons and a variety of 5k, 10k and 16k charity runs. With a passion for physical and healthful wellness, along with her positive mindset, Arlene brings her unique and innovative teaching expertise, business and Nutrition background to the Professional Practice course she teaches at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition’s Toronto and Mississauga campuses.

  • PP001 Professional Practice

    This course is designed to provide the tools and skills necessary to succeed in professional practice. Practicing in health service, community, business and educational settings will be thoroughly covered. Topics include legal framework, marketing techniques, defining goals, consulting skills, time management, client relationships, building rapport, professionalism and a recap on effective communication skills.
