DAVID WILSON ND, CNP

David is an April 2015 Mississauga campus graduate practicing in Bali, Indonesia. After graduating IHN, David moved to Bali and fell in love with the local flora and fauna and his fiancée, Dr. Gipsy Ayu Larasati, a Balinese Doctor and together they created the non-profit organization “The Bridge Indonesia.” They focus on Medical Outreach Programs that affect villagers that are at risk; moms, babies, elderly. Illness and poverty are overwhelming odds in Bali and throughout Indonesia. They have equipped Medics on site that can effectively deal with trauma and emergencies. Beyond the many ongoing projects, there is now an immediate crisis; a volcano. The precautionary Safety Evacuation protocols have created a massive influx of evacuees in Bali into poorly equipped Camps. A 9 km radius around the volcano has been evacuated, leaving 110,000+ displaced villagers in Evacuation Camps, both official and unofficial. The crops are dead, people have lost or sold their livestock, markets are empty, there are no doctors, stores have been left empty and closed, not all have electricity or garbage collection and some villages are completely abandoned. The main concern is minor illness that explodes into serious life threatening issues. Hygiene and health safety for new mothers and their babies, and of course the elderly. There are many groups participating to lighten the governments load on the camps.

JASON MATTHEWS EMP, CNP

Jason is a March 2008 Toronto campus graduate practicing in Acton, ON. Jason has his own practice, Resonant Wellness, where his emphasis is to empower clients so they have the necessary tools to heal through healthy lifestyle choices. In the clinic he focuses primarily on intakes and conversations that occur upon the first visit, Jason feels this is important in order to balance the cause (blockage) of the condition rather than the end resulted symptom. He prefers to educate clients on Holistic preventative methods that balance the underlying disturbance within the body and not the symptom itself. Jason is highly recommending a chance of a lifetime 17 day Tibetan Medicine Medical Camp in Upper Mustang, July 17 – August 2, 2018 through the Himalayan Guge Organization (HGO). The Upper Mustang was a restricted demilitarized area until 1992 which makes it one of the most preserved regions in the world, with a majority of the population still speaking traditional Tibetic languages. Tibetan culture has been preserved by the relative isolation of the region from the outside world. To trek in Upper Mustang is a rare privilege. In addition to the trek, participants can look forward to assisting and learning from a renowned Tibetan Medicine doctor in the Medical camp.
