1. What brought you to study Holistic Nutrition at IHN?

I have always had a passion for food and natural wellness. When I finally listened to my gut, it led me to IHN, which aligned with everything I was looking for. I was also dealing with gut health problems and wanted to find a natural way to heal holistically. It is my true passion in life to help others heal naturally, and I only wish I’d listened to my gut feeling right after I graduated high school back in 2015.

2. What professions have you worked in prior to enrolling at IHN?

I’ve had a number of careers and certifications since graduating high school. I became a legal assistant, yoga teacher, figure skating coach, and early childhood educator. None of these careers made me happy though, and I always knew I wasn’t in the right field.

3. What degrees or academic achievements did you have prior to IHN?

Early Childhood Educator certification
Nail Technician certificate
Legal Assistant certificate
Yoga Teacher Training certificate
CanSkate Coach certificate

4. What are your goals and aspirations as a CNP?

I really wish to work with autoimmune disease clients, as well as in a retreat setting. Eventually, I want to have my own business where I can work with clients 1:1 remotely, while also providing a retreat service for clients on Vancouver Island.

5. What has been your personal best achievement?

I managed to heal my digestion problems with proper lifestyle and digestive support. I also healed the brain fog I had experienced for the past 10 years. I am so happy and thankful for natural and holistic medicine.

6. What is something you overcame in your life, that you didn’t think you could?

I didn’t think I could overcome my fear of public speaking. I had a horrible fear of it throughout my life, and it was the thing that scared me the most. But now, I don’t feel that fear so much! With practice, I’m able to speak in public more comfortably than I used to. It’s still not my favourite thing to do, but I don’t get terrified like I used to!

7. What is something about you that would surprise people?

I figure skated competitively for 15 years, starting when I was 4 years old. I competed at the BC Winter Games in Terrace.

8. Is there anything you would like to share about your experience at IHN so far?

My experience at IHN has been so life changing. The amount of new knowledge I’ve gained over these past 2 years has been incredible! My favourite course so far has been Symptomatology. I absolutely loved creating the protocols and putting all of my knowledge together to build my first one. Symptomatology is where I truly developed the confidence to become a practitioner! All the courses are amazing, but that one really stood out for me.
