Holistic Nutritionists and other natural health professionals, regardless of their educational background or institution, are welcome to enroll. Since 2019, IHN has proudly partnered with Lisa Pitel-Killah’s Clinical HTMA Academy, with each offering consistently reaching full enrollment. In 2025, HTMA Levels 1 and 2 were transitioned to a self-directed format to better accommodate practitioners’ schedules and time zones.
In a single hair sample, the tissue is stable over time and provides several months of biochemical activity versus just a snapshot from blood work. Obtaining the sample is inexpensive and non-invasive and can be completed without medical intervention. HTMA testing identifies so many potential issues in the body. Lisa refers to minerals as the foundation of the home that need to be kept in check to make sure “the house is strong and stable.”
HTMA testing along with bloodwork from your client’s doctor can give a practitioner a clearer picture of protocol development.

If your schedule doesn’t allow you to attend classes in real time, join us through recordings. Many of our Continuing Education students are busy practitioners and professionals, balancing work, family and other commitments so we understand that flexibility is necessary. Replay access and completion options are arranged on a case-by-case basis to ensure you still receive the full educational value of the course and have engagement with the faculty member and other registrants. You also have the option to earn the Certificate of Completion if you’re able to complete the required test or assignment by the due dates.
