Dr. Natalie Pond BHSc, ND
Dr. Natalie Pond is a registered naturopathic doctor practicing in Ottawa and Manotick, ON. She became acquainted with naturopathic medicine while at the University of Guelph. She began to see a Naturopathic Doctor and was intrigued about medicine in a holistic view. Naturopathy looks at a person’s well-being from the perspective of integrating mind, body and spirit as pillars of health. She incorporates these vital aspects to tailor personalized, balanced and sustainable treatments, while aspiring to empower and educate patients to transform their health. Natalie uses clinical nutrition, acupuncture, and botanical medicine to support those with digestive health concerns.
Natalie completed her Bachelor of Science with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Studio Arts at the University of Guelph. She went on to complete her Doctor of Naturopathy at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She has completed internships at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and Sherbourne Health Centre, with an externship at the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in China. Natalie is in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO), a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. She has completed the necessary requirements to complete the Prescribing Standard of Practice and Standard of Practice for IVIT for CONO. Natalie teaches Advanced Nutrition Research at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition’s Ottawa campus.
NR 006 Advanced Nutrition Research
Emphasis in this course will be given to statistical research techniques used by academics and practitioners in the field of nutrition. The course involves examining ethical considerations, appropriateness, reliability and validity of research designs. Students will be encouraged to critically analyze research literature in this field.
