Jen Casey CNP, NNCP
Jen is a 2018, first class honours graduate of IHN, Vancouver campus. She discovered her curiosity for nutrition while supporting both her parents during their cancer treatments, but her work in the health and wellness industry did not begin there. After the birth of her first child in 2001, Jen was inspired to create a brand of natural skin care for babies that was free from chemicals, yet effective. She proudly launched the Dimpleskins Naturals® product line to stores across Canada and, 20 years later, the line is still distributed nationally and managed by Jen.
After Jen graduated from IHN, she joined the Admin team as the Academic Advisor, Practicum and Communications Coordinator. Today, she continues to support graduating students as a Student Clinic Advisor, while also supporting her own clients in her private practice, Nutrition for Weight Loss.
Through experience, Jen understands the physical and emotional aspects of a woman’s nutritional needs through different stages of her life, so she chose to focus her practice on supporting other women with diet-free strategies to balance hormones and lose weight. Outside of her practice, she is the in-house Nutritionist at two Nature’s Fare locations in the Vancouver Lower Mainland, supporting customers with an array of diet and supplement recommendations. She writes wellness articles for the store’s monthly print publication and blog, and hosts public
seminars on holistic health topics.
Jen shares her passion for using food as medicine in digital and print magazine articles, on television segments, corporate wellness programs, and on cooking stages at wellness events. She enjoys supporting and inspiring future CNPs in the Student Clinic process, through her own professional experience.
