I enrolled at IHN to gain the knowledge to support my own health and that of my family and to never feel helpless regarding health again. However, the longer I am here the more I feel that helping others through holistic nutrition would be deeply meaningful, and I am open to seeing where this path may lead me.
1. What brought you to study Holistic Nutrition at IHN?
Some years ago, a holistic nutritionist helped me regain my health. I truly believe she saved my life. By that point my body had been slowly giving up. It was a moment of disbelief for me that a nutritionist could offer a life-changing solution after a short conversation, while conventional doctors had not been able to help after many visits and tests.
The second moment came during a visit with my doctor when I tried to share what was helping me and was stopped abruptly. That was when I said to myself, “Okay, Bozena, time to roll up your sleeves and start learning, for yourself, your family, and the people around you.” I began studying on my own and eventually chose to deepen that knowledge at IHN.

2. What professions have you worked in prior to enrolling at IHN?
As a result of my love of travel and living abroad, I have worked many jobs in different places. Among them: an English teacher, an interpreter at an embassy, a waitress, a massage therapist, and I helped to run our family business.

3. What degrees or academic achievements did you have prior to IHN?
I hold a master’s degree in English Studies from Poland and a diploma in Computer Science Technology from Sheridan College. I also completed one year at Kikkawa College of Massage before pausing my studies to welcome my second daughter.
4. What are your goals/aspirations as a CNP?
5. What has been your personal best achievement?
Raising my two daughters and going after my dream by returning to school to study at IHN.

6. What is something you overcame in your life, that you didn’t think you could?
Regaining my health at a time when I believed nothing more could be done. That period was difficult, but it became one of the greatest gifts in my life because it led me to discover the great power of natural healing.
7. What is something about you that would surprise people?
Travel used to be my great passion, so much so that it got me to leave my hometown in Poland, live in Greece for 3 years, and then had me coming to Canada to explore a new place. (I didn’t expect to live the rest of my life here but here we are 🙂
I also practice Reiki with family and friends and have been exploring quantum biofeedback technology for the past few years as I found it helpful in my healing journey. When some years ago I travelled through Mexico for a few months, quantum biofeedback helped our family on several occasions.

8. Is there anything you would like to share about your experience at IHN so far?
IHN has been by far the most meaningful school of all the ones that I have attended. Looking back at the program, I can see how thoughtfully each course was designed to provide a strong and practical foundation for us as holistic nutritionists. It has also shown us various paths we can follow from here, reminding us that learning is a lifelong process.
I especially loved Herbal Medicine and Ayurveda with Eva. Herbs saved my life, so I was eager to learn more about their healing properties, and I found it fascinating to explore the principles of the Ayurvedic system of medicine. The Psychology of Disease with Karim was deeply impactful, reminding us of the powerful connection between our thoughts, emotions, and physical health. Drinking ceremonial cacao together, dancing and shaking our stresses away, and doing other activities as a class will remain special memories. The biggest turning point for me was the Symptomatology classes with Jennifer and Sofia. These courses brought everything together and taught us how to create treatment protocols, even for the most complicated cases. It was then that I began to feel ready and confident that I could put this knowledge into practice to help others.
