1. What brought you to study Holistic Nutrition at IHN?
For years, I dealt with chronic pain, confusion around what was right for my body, and an on-again, off-again relationship with food. I felt stuck in a loop of medical appointments, prescriptions, and generic advice that never truly resonated. Deep down, I knew there had to be a different path, one that honoured the body as a whole. Discovering holistic nutrition was a turning point. It gave me the tools, hope, and empowerment I had been searching for, and inspired me to pursue this path so I could help others find the same clarity.

2. What professions have you worked in prior to enrolling at IHN?
Before enrolling at IHN, I worked as a social media manager and also spent time in retail. Both experiences gave me a strong foundation in communication, branding, and customer service, skills I now see as incredibly valuable in the wellness space.
3. What degrees or academic achievements did you have prior to IHN?
I earned an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, which provided a well-rounded academic foundation and fostered a global perspective that still informs how I approach health and healing today.
4. What are your goals/aspirations as a CNP?
I’m deeply passionate about making healthy eating both accessible and joyful. I want to show that nourishing your body doesn’t mean restricting pleasure; it means celebrating it. Inspired by the words of Hippocrates, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food,” I hope to create spaces, whether digital, community-based, or culinary, where people can fall in love with food that loves them back.

5. What has been your personal best achievement?
One of my proudest personal achievements has been healing my relationship with food. Through mindful eating, education, and a deeper understanding of nutrition, I’ve learned to approach food with curiosity instead of fear, and nourishment instead of control. It’s been a life-changing shift that’s now shaping the way I support others on their wellness journey.

6. What is something you overcame in your life, that you didn’t think you could?
I overcame the belief that my body was broken. For years, I internalized pain and discomfort as personal failure. Letting go of that narrative, and replacing it with compassion, curiosity, and trust, was one of the hardest but most freeing things I’ve ever done.
7. What is something about you that would surprise people?
Most people are surprised to learn that I studied Film in college and spent much of my life thinking I’d pursue a career in the arts. Creativity was my world, and at the same time, I’ve always been intrigued by science, especially chemistry and biology. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I realized holistic nutrition, and especially the culinary path I’m now on, blends both passions. Creating health-supportive recipes is an art form, to me, rooted in science. It’s where creativity and evidence-based healing meet.

8. Is there anything you would like to share about your experience at IHN so far?
IHN has been more than a school; it’s felt like finding a like-minded community. One of my favourite courses so far has been Nutritional Symptomatology. It was a true “aha” moment for me—seeing how the body communicates through symptoms and how we can use food and lifestyle to support healing made everything click. The faculty’s passion and the real-world application of the material have made this journey incredibly meaningful.
