1. What brought you to study Holistic Nutrition at IHN?

My journey into holistic nutrition began through skincare and a deeply personal experience with healing. At 23, I donated part of my liver to my father. He passed away a year later, and that moment changed everything for me. It opened my eyes to the body’s intelligence, resilience, and fragility, and showed me how emotional, spiritual, and physical healing are all connected.

I wanted to bring that understanding into my work, to help others and myself heal from the inside out. IHN felt like the right space to bridge science, intuition, and lived experience — a way to deepen what I already practice through my brand, my clients, and my community.

2. What professions have you worked in prior to enrolling at IHN?

I have worked as a Holistic Esthetician, Massage Therapist, and Wellness Practitioner between Florida and Toronto. Alongside my client practice, I founded Massiell Made, a handcrafted skincare brand rooted in ritual, plant science, and emotional wellness. Everything I do connects back to self-care, inner balance, and educating others on how the body mirrors what we feel and feed it.

3. What degrees or academic achievements did you have prior to IHN?

I hold certifications in Holistic Esthetics, Massage Therapy, and Lymphatic Drainage, and have studied advanced anatomy, physiology, and herbal formulation. These studies gave me a strong foundation in understanding the body’s systems and natural ability to heal, now deepened through the lens of holistic nutrition.

4. What are your goals/aspirations as a CNP?

My goal as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner is to merge clinical nutrition, skincare, and emotional healing into one holistic ecosystem. I want to guide clients through rebuilding from the inside out, balancing gut health, hormones, and nervous system regulation.

Long term, I see myself leading retreats, educational programs, and mentorships that combine food, ritual, and bodywork. I want to bring this knowledge back to my community, especially to caregivers, families, and those who have experienced loss, helping them find nourishment and renewal through integrative wellness.

5. What has been your personal best achievement?

Donating part of my liver to my father is the most meaningful thing I have ever done. Though it came with heartbreak, it rooted my purpose and taught me what true healing and surrender look like. Professionally, building Massiell Made from scratch while maintaining my practice has been one of my proudest milestones. It represents years of creativity, research, and devotion to helping others feel whole.

6. What is something you overcame in your life, that you didn’t think you could?

Losing my father and recovering from organ donation were two of the hardest things I have ever faced. Physically, emotionally, and spiritually, I had to rebuild myself from the ground up. That process taught me compassion, patience, and faith, all of which now shape the way I support my clients and show up in my work.

7. What is something about you that would surprise people?

People are often surprised that I formulate every product in my skincare line by hand, from sourcing botanicals to blending oils and creating packaging. I am also deeply intuitive, often blending energy work, lymphatic therapy, and nutrition into my treatments. My approach combines science and spirit, rooted in evidence but guided by intuition and care.

8. Is there anything you would like to share about your experience at IHN so far?

IHN has been such an expansive experience. The Holistic Anatomy and Physiology and Nutritional Symptomatology courses gave me language for what I had lived through and showed how the liver, gut, and nervous system reflect emotional wellbeing.

My biggest realization has been that the skin truly tells the story of the body. Every glow, breakout, and imbalance reflects something deeper. The faculty’s passion and the community’s warmth have inspired me to continue integrating this knowledge into my brand and practice with even more depth and compassion.
