1. What brought you to study Holistic Nutrition at IHN?

My passion for natural health and wellness began through my own family’s journey toward cleaner eating and natural living. As a Montessori teacher for many years, I witnessed how food, environment, and emotions influence children’s development. This inspired me to learn how nutrition can support healing and prevention at all stages of life. I chose IHN for its holistic approach, which connects body, mind, and spirit.

2. What professions have you worked in prior to enrolling at IHN?

I’ve worked for over 15 years as a Montessori teacher, guiding children through experiential learning and emotional growth. I also co-own a family bakery that specializes in handmade sourdough breads, where I apply my love for natural ingredients and traditional methods.

3. What degrees or academic achievements did you have prior to IHN?

I hold a Master’s degree in French Teaching and a Bachelor’s in French Translation, as well as a Montessori Teaching Diploma from the Toronto Montessori Institute.

4. What are your goals/aspirations as a CNP?

My goal is to combine my background in education and nutrition to create a wellness space that nurtures both adults and children. I envision a small holistic café and supplement shop where my husband and I offer sourdough products, smoothies, and personalized nutrition consultations. I also want to focus on digestive health and family nutrition.

5. What has been your personal best achievement?

My proudest achievement has been transforming my family’s lifestyle through whole, natural foods and seeing the positive changes in our energy and health. Completing my Co-op at Healthy Planet has also been a milestoneit gave me confidence in applying my classroom knowledge in a professional wellness setting.

6. What is something you overcame in your life, that you didn’t think you could?

Moving to a new country and rebuilding my career from scratch was challenging. I went from teaching to starting a family business, then returning to study againall while balancing motherhood. It taught me resilience, adaptability, and the power of following your passion.

7. What is something about you that would surprise people?

People are often surprised to learn that I speak four languages—English, French, Farsi, and Azeri (Turkish)—and that I can bake naturally leavened bread from scratch! My creativity flows equally in the kitchen and classroom.

8. Is there anything you would like to share about your experience at IHN so far?

IHN has been a life-changing experience. The community is inspiring, and every class deepens my understanding of the body’s innate ability to heal. My favourite courses have been Symptomatology and Herbal Medicine because they connect science with intuition. My Co-op at Healthy Planet has also allowed me to share what I’m learning with others in real time.
