Shahada Evans CNP

Shahada Evans is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and Iridologist. She has always been inspired by how food; profoundly influences our health, culture, society, and environment. This interest led Shahada to the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto, where she graduated with First Class Honours.

Shahada has worked as a Nutritionist for Newtopia Inc. in Toronto, and Finlandia Integrative Pharmacy in Vancouver. As the founder of Shahada Wellness, Shahada counsels clients on a wide range of health issues, with a focus on digestive health, mental health conditions, healthy weight loss, and autoimmune diseases.

In her practice, Shahada utilizes an individualized whole foods approach, while incorporating herbs, supplementation, and lifestyle improvements, to help her clients feel their best! Shahada believes in addressing the root cause of an illness, and that by doing so, you allow the body to heal itself. She loves empowering her clients to take their health into their own hands, and strongly believes in using food as medicine; because everyone has access to it!

Shahada has a special love for regenerative farming, food sovereignty, traditional herbal medicines, and supporting local food systems.

When Shahada is not seeing clients or learning more about functional nutrition, you can find her sipping coffee at a local cafe, foraging for herbs, cold plunging, or sweating it out in the sauna.

    Nutrient needs and nutritional status are explored using a life span model. Areas of emphasis include growth and development, high risk pediatric groups, infant childhood allergies and diseases. Womens’ and Mens’ health concerns and the nutrition challenges faced by our aging society will also be examined.

  • PHC 005 Preventive Health Care

    Nutrition is positioned as a significant factor in the prevention of many disease states. Learn how proper nutrition can protect against, reverse and/or retard many ailments including: osteoporosis, diabetes, atherosclerosis and high blood pressure, arthritis, cancer, anemia, kidney disease and colon cancer. Current research developments on phytochemicals, antioxidants and nutraceuticals will be explored.
