She has earned her Bachelor of Physical and Health Education at Queen’s University and is certified by the Hans Selye Foundation and The Canadian Institute of Stress as a Stress and Wellness Consultant.

Jill is a passionate advocate of nutrition education, evidenced based natural remedies and whole foods eating. Her approach to clinical nutrition is focused on addressing her clients’ metabolic individuality as a key factor at the heart of her integrative lifestyle coaching. Along with maintaining a private practice of twelve years, Jill is the nutritionist at one of Toronto’s influential wellness boutiques: Dr. Natasha Turner’s, Clear Medicine. Jill is the author of Easy Gourmet Baby Food and writes articles for clients such as Alive magazine, Today’s Parent, Naturally Savvy, Blikki, Ski Canada, IHR, Walmart and Zwell.

At the Institute of Holistic Nutrition she has taught Professional Skills Development, Professional Practice and Symptomatology I. Dan Zaharie BA CNP ROHP

Dan is a Certified and Register Nutritional Practitioner and honours graduate of the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. Dan practices clinical nutrition in an award winning clinic in Oakville, ON, using therapeutic diets, supplementation and live blood analysis to help clients with a variety of chronic conditions. The clinic specializes in prevention and post Cancer care.Growing up in Eastern Europe surrounded by people very passionate about food, Dan has travelled extensively and lived over three continents, experiencing first-hand the dietary differences of many cultures. He learned therefore naturally most of the intricacies that he speaks and educates his clients nowadays.Dan is also the developer of a cold-pressed artisan oils line Healthe Oils. Knowing, from young age, the importance of entirely natural, fresh, unrefined and superior quality produced oils, Dan continues the family tradition of cold pressing the healthy lipids; they being an integral part of his clients’ health protocol.Dan brings his inborn knowledge of foods and food matter to teaching Comparative Diets at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition.

Robert Tomilson R.BIE, RNCP

Robert is the Co-founder of The Institute of Natural Health Technologies and BioEnergetic Intolerance Elimination. Robert’s devotion to the field of allergy research, immunology, electromagnetism and biophysics has given him insight into the root causes of disease. Robert has done extensive study in the science and practice of Iridology and practices various Iridology methods. Robert is a Doctor of Natural Medicine, Registered BioEnergetics Practitioner and an Acupuncturist. His studies include: quantum and biophysics, Homeopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Herbology, and Holistic Nutrition. Robert teaches Iridology in Professional Practice.

Nitin Shah, M. D. (Ayurveda)

Nitin Shah, an Ayurvedic Physician and wellness consultant, researcher and academician. He has a broad interest to human health and wellness. He brings a wealth of classroom and practical experience of Ayurveda to Canada. A native of India, land of Vedas, he served for more than ten years as an Ayurvedic proctologist. He holds a Bachelor’s of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree from the versatile Gujarat Ayurved University and Doctor of Medicine (Ayurved) (M.D.) He holds a degree from The Institute of Post graduate training and research, Jamnagar, India. Dr. Shah’s academic and practical training include the study of Ayurvedic medicine and surgery as well. He is also a Certified Wellness Consultant and Health Promoter. He has traveled extensively in Europe and North America sharing his knowledge of Ayurveda with Maharshi Ayurveda- Netherlands, Ayurveda academy of America, Ananda Yoga Spa, Jeevan-Toronto, Caish, BYC, Art Of Living ashram in Quebec and many other places. In 2000, he immigrated to Canada with his wife and 2 boys where he offers his services of teaching Ayurvedic Programs in various establishments. Currently, he is spreading the message of Ayurveda under the leadership of his Spiritual Master Sri Sri Ravishanker, Founder of Art Of Living Foundation. Dr. Shah teaches Ayurveda: Mind/Body Healing at Institute of Holistic Nutrition.

I have been teaching wilderness education for thirty years. The skills I pass on are tried and tested through years of practice. I have always followed the ancient techniques of learning to live life with the wilderness rather than fearing it. My teaching has brought me to hundreds of class rooms ranging from Kindergarten through to University and Colleges. It is my intention to pass on my skills and knowledge so that people will find the beauty which surrounds them daily.
Hawks Shadow teaches the course “Explore the Wilderness Way with Hawks Shadow” in The Institute of Holistic Nutrition Continuing Education Department.

Jesse Lane Lee, CNP

Jesse Lane Schelew, BSc, CNP is a cheerful Holistic Nutritionist, motivating speaker, cookbook author and wellness writer. She is a graduate of the Institute of Holistic Nutrition and the founder of JesseLaneWellness.com, a web based holistic nutrition practice and holistic recipe resource. Jesse Lane is passionate about nutrition, she helps positive and vibrant individuals unlock the incredible healing power of food and reclaim their health. She helps her clients adopt fun and effective habits that they can get excited about. Jesse Lane loves to play in the kitchen and create holistically delicious recipes and meal plans that accommodate a wide variety of food allergies, diets and lifestyle choices. She believes that eating healthy whole foods can be easy, fun and most of all delicious! Jesse Lane is a co-author of The Holistic In the City 21 Day Smoothie Guide and has been featured on KrisCarr.com, Mind Body Green and Elephant Journal. Jesse Lane is a vibrant public speaker who shares her knowledge of nutrition in an engaging and enthusiastic manner. She has been a guest on several Rogers TV shows and loves to conduct corporate lunch and learns and wellness workshops. Jesse Lane teaches Professional Skills Development at IHN’s North York (Toronto) and Mississauga Campuses.

Anita Sauvé CNP, RNCP

Anita has a B. Comm. Honours degree from the University of Toronto and later attended IHN and graduated with First Class Honours. She is passionately committed to empowering people with knowledge about what goes on their plates.
Anita has a private consulting practice at the busy Waterdown clinic of Naturopathic Medicine where she works with clients on an individual basis to increase energy levels, decrease toxins and improve digestion. She uses a whole food approach to develop personal programs in support of any health concerns her clients may have. Typical clients include those with MS, IBS, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and hormonal issues, among others. Anita’s excellent communication skills are put to use in teaching and public speaking engagements. She creates lectures and does food demos for both corporate clients and public groups on many different nutritional topics. She is an instructor at the Goodness Me! Chain of health food stores and also teaches fun and inspiring cooking classes in her own rural gourmet kitchen. Anita teaches Preventative Healthcare at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition.

Julia Rickert CNP NNCP/ROHP

Julia is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) and a First Class honours graduate of The Institute of Holistic Nutrition. She combines her strategic marketing and communications skills with her nutrition and orthomolecular knowledge to bring a dynamic dimension to the program’s global objective to make holistic nutrition a lifestyle standard.

Julia teaches an exclusive module at IHN’s Toronto and Mississauga campuses and consults with Ottawa and Vancouver campuses on a syllabus which is part of IHN’s Professional Practice curriculum. Her lecture includes CV development, professional behaviour and language in clinical practice, negotiating career opportunities and launching independent initiatives, an in-depth review of the industry’s educational standards bodies and the provincial and federal regulatory landscape governing CNPs in Canada. Julia’s eclectic, unusual and challenging teaching style on the controversial subject of freedom of choice in medicine and food rights always ends in the fundamental message of self-determination, respect of the individual and the power held within every holistic practitioner to evolve our communities—one person at a time.

Dedicated to advancing the reputation of IHN’s alumni and graduating students, Julia manages the program’s co-operative education placement department, develops the weekly guest speaker lecture series, initiates career platforms for graduates and students, markets the advanced continuing education courses, produces IHN’s international alumni online presence, and acts as a catalyst for all CNPs in need of support in any area of their practice, in any part of the world.

When not teaching or developing programs for IHN, she parallels her passion to protect individual’s rights by working as the Executive Coordinator and National Campaign Director for the Natural Health Products Protection Association. This well-respected Canadian activist group campaigns against federal government policies and laws that disallow the public and practitioners their right to use alternative natural medicines of their choice.

Sofia Pistrila MSc, CNP

Sofia is a Certified Nutritionist Practitioner and an honours graduate of the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. She also has a Masters degree in Science from “Traian Vuia” University, Romania. Sofia is the founder of FeellikeSpring Nutrition and Wellness Clinic in Toronto. In her quest to help people to attain their true balance of mind, body and spirit, she incorporates in her practice several other modalities like Energy Medicine, Reiki, Reflexology and Pilates. Sofia’s 18 years experience of the industrial and corporate world gives her the understanding of the importance of harmony between work and personal time in ones life. Her own experience with debilitating health problems resulting from working in a high stress environment ignited her interest in holistic healing. What started as a personal necessity, ended up being a passion to help others. In her practice her main focus is to educate people about the negative effects of stress and ways to deal with it. Through customized diet, life style changes and intervention at energetic level, Sofia helps her clients to “FeellikeSpring”, to blossom to their full potential. She shares her own healing journey and knowledge with clients and the public through one-to-one consultations, small group seminars, workshops, community centers presentations and community newspapers. She is an active member of Friends of Alternative and Complementary Therapies (FACT) and Women in a Home Office (WHO). As a faculty member of The Institute on Holistic Nutrition, Sofia teaches Nutritional Symptomatology.

Jennifer Papaconstantinou CNP, NNCP

Jennifer is a graduate of the Institute of Holistic Nutrition as Valedictorian with First Class Honours. In addition to her Nutrition training, Jennifer participated in a Mentorship program, studying the philosophies and teachings of Dr. Bernard Jensen, as well as completing certification courses in Clinical Iridology, Live Blood Cell Microscopy and B.A.S.E. Allergy Therapy.

Jennifer is an energetic and dynamic nutritional professional and is the founder of H.E.A.L. Naturally Holistic Health a Nutritional Consulting practice which offers complimentary therapies & evidence-based clinical nutrition which harmonize the beliefs and practices of a balanced approach to lifelong health. She decided to pursue her passion as a Health Educator after successfully experiencing first-hand, the profound effects of improved diet & lifestyle within her own family of four beautiful children!

Jennifer is a Program Advisor and Trade Show Events & Public Relations Manager for The Institute of Holistic Nutrition as well as overseeing the Student Clinic as Coordinator. Jennifer continues to offer Educational workshops, Corporate Events & writing submissions and has been published in Girls Can Do Anything magazine – Canada’s official teen empowerment digital magazine. Jennifer teaches Nutritional Symptomatology Part I, Nutrition and Health: The Fundamentals and Nutrition through the Lifespan at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition.

 

Edith Kunszt CNP RNCP/ROHP DiHom

Edith is a Certified & Registered Orthomolecular Nutritional Practitioner.
Edith Holds diplomas from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition (First Class Honors) and the British Institute of Homeopathy. She has studied with various well known international experts in the field of Homeopathy, Homotoxicology & Clinical Nutrition. Edith has been in private clinical practice since the year 2000 and is the founder of Essence of Vitality Nutrition & Homeopathy Clinic in Toronto.
Edith incorporates Therapeutic Clinical Nutrition, Live Cell Microscopy, Hair Mineral & Metal Analysis, Applied Nutritional Kinesiology, Bio-therapeutic Drainage, Herbal Gemmotherapy and Oligotherapy into her arsenal of natural healing modalities and also helps her clients better understand their medical Lab Data.
As an experienced clinical practitioner she has been passionately educating clients, students, friends and family about the benefits of Holistic Nutritional Healing, guiding her clients to achieve optimal health.

Marlene Hynd CNP, NNCP

Marlene received her designation of Certified Nutritional Practitioner from The Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto with First Class Honours. Marlene also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto.

Following a successful corporate training and consulting career, Marlene pursued her passion for holistic health by earning a diploma in Applied Holistic Nutrition from IHN. Upon graduation, Marlene launched her private practice, Nourish, with a focus on workplace wellness. Marlene believes true wellness comes from eating well, moving well and being mindful ~ eat well, move well, be well! Knowing that healthy people build healthy companies, Marlene aims to inspire her clients to optimum health and performance with each program she delivers.

Alongside Marlene’s private practice she is a nutritionist at Dr. Joey Shulman’s Shulman Weight Loss Clinics where she coaches clients on nutritional weight loss through blood sugar and hormone balance. Marlene also delivers nutrition seminars and whole food cooking classes for Longo’s.

Marlene brings together her positive energy, love of teaching, business background and passion for Holistic Health to the Professional Practice Course at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition.

Alexandra Hurtado, BA, CNP, ND

Alexandra is a Naturopathic Doctor, Certified Nutritional Practitioner and Sociologist. She is a graduate of The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, The Institute of Holistic Nutrition and York University. Alexandra’s practice focuses on women’s health and pediatrics with a particular interest in fertility and reproductive care and has completed further training in this area. Alexandra believes in finding and treating the root of the disease in an individualized approach to health care. Having a nutrition background, one of Alexandra’s main treatment focuses involves in depth dietary counselling and applications, along with other preferred methods of treatment such as acupuncture, and botanical medicine to name a few. In addition to her private practice Alexandra owns and operates the Hillcrest Centre for Health, with centres in Toronto and Mississauga. Alexandra is excited to give back to the IHN community in her new role of instructor. Alexandra teaches Nutrition through the Lifespan at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition.

Jennifer Hunter, CNP, RNCP

Jennifer Hunter, CNP, RNCP is a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner. She graduated with honors from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in October 2002. She is a proud member of the Nutritional Consultants Organization of Canada. Her focus is on the nourishing and preventative benefits of a whole food diet. Jennifer is a self-published author of two cookbooks, Cooking with Delectable Whole Foods which includes 100 delicious and nutritious vegetarian recipes. Her second cookbook, Passionate About Food includes 100 delectable and nutritious recipes that include fish, eggs and lots of vegetarian options. Both cookbooks include recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and smoothies for everyday dining. Jennifer teaches Holistic Food Preparation for The Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto.

Angelo Greco CNP, RNCP

Angelo has been a Certified and Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner for over eight years. He has been employed in the field of natural health products for over eight years. The interest in nutritional supplementation and how it affects the body has been an ongoing passion for Angelo, particularly in the area of sports supplements and human performance. Angelo is always up-to-date with the latest research on effective supplement strategies, as well as nutrient timing, so his clients receive the most accurate and correct information available. Angelo also loves to educate by providing nutritional seminars for various companies such as Bayer, Royal Bank of Canada, The Running Room and other various fitness institutions. He has also made radio and television appearances for the Latin American radio station; AM 1610 and the Telelatino Network (TLN), an Italian and Spanish television station. His tireless commitment to helping and educating others about nutrition is what Angelo thrives on.
