Most memorable moment at IHN
My most memorable moment at IHN was strangely before I even started. I remember going in for my interview and thinking ,”This is where I want to be. This is what I need to do. I belong here.” While studying at IHN wasn’t always easy, I never once regretted my choice to be there and follow a path I so wholeheartedly believed in.
Favourite class at IHN
I honestly cannot just pick one favorite class! Fundamentals of Nutrition was an amazing way to begin. Symptomatology I & II , and Nutrition and the Environment followed close behind.
Currently doing in the field of Holistic Nutrition
As much as I thought I would be consulting or teaching Holistic Nutrition, I now work on an organic farm in Niagara. Learning about the environment and our flawed food system in school made me want to get my hands dirty and learn to grow my own food. While I was building my online business in the summer of 2012, I began volunteering for Meier Family Organic Farm a few days a week. I loved being outside, digging and harvesting. It was magic to be able to pull almost your entire meal straight from the garden. Fast forward to 2015, I have never left. I am now full time at the farm, helping raise organic sheep, goats and chicken in the barn, and help run a full organic produce garden in the summer months. Recently, in December 2014 we opened a farm store on our property, allowing us to generate a greater clientele than farmers markets alone. I continue to be excited about seeing the farm expand and to see more people learning about the importance of organics.

While Gandhi’s famous words, “Be the change you wish to see in the world”, are the words I choose to live by, Desiderata and Marianne Williamson’s famous words, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…”, always proves to hit closest to home and stir something within my soul.
