Most memorable moment at IHN
Smiles, gratitude, intense learning and happy memories – that’s what IHN warmly brings to my mind! I was truly motivated daily by all of my fellow classmates and the inspirational faculty. The amount of knowledge shared and learned, laid the foundation to my new lifestyle and career journey. One of my most memorable moments was when Elizabeth told me that I was nominated to be the valedictorian for my graduating class. I was shocked and felt honored at the same time!  Graduation was such a special day, filled with moments of accomplishments and achievements for my entire class!

Favorite class at IHN
All of the courses were amazing and valuable in so many different ways! One which I was fascinated and intrigued by was Psychology of Disease. It introduced me to the holistic world of energy medicine and Reiki, connecting the mind, body and spirit. I was blessed to complete my co-op placement as a nutritional chef at ‘Peace By The Water Retreat’.  It was here that I experienced the gift of Reiki and Touch for Health. It further fostered my desire to continue studying and become a Reiki Master! I appreciated the course Professional Skills Development. It helped me develop my inner confidence and find my voice to effectively communicate with others and provide wellness presentations. Little did I realize that this course would be so valuable to where my career path has now flourished.

Currently doing in the field of Holistic Nutrition
I am the Health and Wellness Coordinator at the Heart House Hospice in Mississauga. Truthfully, I was not sure where my nutritional studies would take me.
I am thrilled to say I found the most meaningful job and work in the most compassionate Not For Profit organization.  I work with kind, thoughtful and caring people who together make a meaningful difference in someones end of life experience, as well as provide support to care-givers and bereaved individuals.  My role is to educate, teach and train volunteers in complementary therapies such as Reiki and Therapeutic Touch so that they may in turn use these holistic therapies to help support others.  At the Heart House Hospice, I also host self-care wellness education sessions like nutrition hour, meditation, yoga and journaling. I also established a small home business called Wholesome You Reiki.  I have the pleasure of working with private clients at home providing Reiki and or nutritional counselling sessions.
