Most Memorable Moment
My first day Shayna Grimwood came in to welcome all of us new students and she asked us to do a meditation. This was the first time I had ever done an actual meditation and in public no less! She asked us to envision ourselves years down the road. She asked us to go into our home and up to our office and into a box that held letters from all the people that we have helped because of our knowledge. I had tears running down my face. It took everything in me to not sob out loud! When I opened my eyes everyone else in the class was crying too. Which obviously made me feel way less embarrassed but it also gave me a sense of belonging. I realized that I was in the right place at the right time.
I had 2 favorite classes for 2 very different reasons.
Psychology of Disease was one of my favorites because it was he first time I started to make the connection between physical health and mental health. It was an eye opening experience and definitely helped me dive into the more spiritual side of healing.
Sports Nutrition was my second favorite because I was always an avid athlete and had been told so many things about what to eat and when to eat so I was very excited to finally have some clarity and then to be able to use as well as pass on that knowledge to others.
Currently doing in the field of Holistic Nutrition
I created Free Run Kitchen in hopes of pursuing many avenues of nutrition. I write a blog with all sorts of holistic, gluten free, dairy free recipes. I have taught raw, vegan cooking classes and have done some catering. I’ve helped create detox and meal plans for clients. For the last year I worked at Semperviva Yoga Studio as a supplement advisor and am currently looking for my next adventure.
