Most memorable moment at IHN:
There are so many happy memories from my time at IHN. The staff, teachers, and my classmates inspired me daily and I just always knew I was in the right place. Every lecture was a part of building my knowledge and experience in the field, but one of my favourite memories has to be making herbal salves and customized herbal tea blends in our Herbal Medicine class.
Favourite class at IHN:
It’s so hard to choose just one! The beautiful variety of classes offered at IHN served a very important role in providing a well-rounded and truly holistic approach to understanding nutrition. I loved Symptomatology 1 and Symptomatology 2 because these courses gave me the opportunity to apply my knowledge to real life circumstances. For my co-op experience, I was working with a local Naturopathic Doctor, and these courses helped me have some tangible experience and confidence when preparing nutrition protocols for clients. I also loved Professional Skills Development, which really helped me find my voice and feel more comfortable communicating with others in a professional manner.
Currently doing in the field of Holistic Nutrition:
I run a private nutrition consulting business, Jennuine Holistic Nutrition. I am currently practicing out of a clinic in Cobourg, Ontario called Nurturing Health where I work with nutrition clients locally and beyond. I work beside a number of other health practitioners which has really created a holistic circle for me in my practice, surrounding me with trustworthy individuals who can help clients in other areas of their health and wellness. I keep myself busy in staying up to date on new nutrition research, as well as providing healthy recipes and nutrition resources on the Jennuine Holistic Nutrition blog.
